On September 24, 2016, WISH for OUR HEROES (W4OH) will host our third-annual Whiskey & Wishes Heroes Gala, in conjunction with Coach Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs and other local San Antonio celebrities. In its third year, the Gala has become one of the most popular and exclusive events in Central Texas, raising more than $312,000 during the first two years, 100% of which assisted local military families struggling with hardship situations (food, shelter, transportation, child needs, uncovered medical expenses, etc). This year, we are incredibly excited to welcome back our guests of honor, Jeff Kyle (decorated Marine and brother to American hero Chris Kyle) and Jo Rease (WW2 Nurse), and we'e super excited to welcome a new group of celebrities acting as our honorary 'wish granters'. We are also excited to announce that this year’s gala will once again be held at the Leon Springs Dance Hall, a truly spectacular (and historic) venue in Leon Springs, Texas. During our first two galas, we granted 22 wishes at the events to surprise local military families struggling with various basic needs. This year, we’re going to step it up and grant even more wishes (by surprising military families attending the gala), so that we can all pay tribute to our American heroes, as we eat, drink, and celebrate together.
